How long will my tournament webpage stay up-and-going, passed the tournament date?
Your tournament webpage will stay active for one month after your tournament date expires. This should allow your participants enough time to view tournament winners, scores, unclaimed door prize winners, and any other information you want to include.
As a tournament organizer, will I be able to send out emails to everyone who signs up for the tournament?
Yes. But we would encourage the use of your USGolfEvents.com messaging system first. This will encourage participants to return to the site to keep updated and to allow you, your charity, your hosting golf course, and your sponsors to have more exposure. You will have several ways to contact your participants by using USGolfEvents.com. These include internal messaging system to each player profile inbox, phone, mail, or email (exported to excel).
Do I need to have extensive knowledge of computers or the Internet to operate our tournament page?
No. We have designed easy to use, pre-designed web pages that will allow you to enter information, download pictures, and logos with basic computer knowledge.
Will the funds collected through USGolfEvents.com be immediately available for me to use?
Yes. The money that you (Tournament Organizer) collect will be directed to your Pay Pal account that you have set up for this event. You can then make purchases online from your Pay Pal account (easiest), or transfer that money to your bank account for cash or check handling. Either way, it beats the socks off collecting cash or checks by hand.
Are there any fees for using your services?
Our website service is 100% free. The only fees that you will be charged will be from Pay Pal of 2.9% +$.30 per transaction from the credit card transactions you receive. There will be no charge for any money that you transfer out (this includes refunds).
What if the golf course I want to host the tournament at is not registered with USGolfEvents.com?
You will need to notify your hosting golf course that you would like to use USGolfEvents.com for your tournament organization. They will normally be happy to oblige by registering their course since we are a free service and we offer them more exposure to the public.
How do I register my golf course?
You must be a golf professional or owner to register a golf course. The process for registering a golf course will be about 10 minutes to register and to set up your web page. The registration request will come to us. We will confirm the information given to avoid likelihood of fraud.
How soon after I register my tournament will I be able to accept on line registrations?
After you finish the tournament registration wizard, your information will be sent to the hosting golf course. The professional will either accept or deny your request. Once accepted, assuming your Pay Pal account is correct, you will be live to the world and open for business.
Why would the hosting golf course deny my request to have a tournament?
There are a number of reasons. Every golf course has their own parameters to be met before allowing a tournament to be held at their facility. Possible reasons: Not an open date, not an open start time, not enough players, it’s a holiday, or they just might want to have a signed contract first. Each of you will have contact information to reach each other to discuss any of these issues. We are here to get the dialog started.
How do I message friends on the USGolfEvents.com messaging system?
Go to any tournament. Find a friend who is registered with that tournament. View their profile. Send a message or add them as a friend. Once they accept your friend request, a fast and easy communication system is born.
